The Role

As a Purolator AZ Linehaul Driver, your primary responsibility will be to transport freight efficiently while building positive relationships with both internal and external customers.   • Location: Edmonton Freight Depot, 2840 76 Ave, Edmonton AB
  • Working hours: ​Monday-Friday, 45 weekly hours, hours vary dependent upon requirements
  • Hourly Wage: $34.38/hr
  • This is a temporary position, that will only last between 2-6 months. Other internal opportunities may become available, but are not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for transporting customer freight in an effective and efficient manner
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Manual usage and handling of pump truck
  • Tail gate experience an asset
  • Work various hours (morning, afternoon, or overnight) as required
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise while on the road
  • Build positive relationships with both our internal and external customers (dispatch, colleagues, managers)
  • Comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Maintain punctual attendance
  • Shunt Duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s Licence: Class 1A for 2+ years
  • Clean Driver’s abstract (please upload a current copy with your application)
  • Must successfully pass written and road tests
  • Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods courses
  • Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction
  • Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
