The Role
As a Purolator AZ Linehaul Driver, your primary responsibility will be to transport freight efficiently while building positive relationships with both internal and external customers. By contributing to the overall goals of the organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics and customer satisfaction. - Working hours: Sunday to Saturday, Various Shifts, 40 hours per week
- Hourly Wage: $32.42
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Responsible for transporting customer freight in an effective and efficient manner
- Manual usage and handling of pump truck
- Proper scan and load techniques
- Work various hours (morning, afternoon, or overnight) as required
- Ability to solve problems as they arise while on the road
- Build positive relationships with both our internal and external customers
- Comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Shunt duties as assigned
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid AZ Driver’s Licence: 3+ years of experience in an AZ driving role
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 bs.
- Clean Driver’s abstract (please upload a current copy with your application)
- Successfully complete written and road tests
- Successfully complete Defensive Driving and Courier Methods courses
- Ability to read maps, good sense of geographical direction
- Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids
- Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
- Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
- Tail gate experience is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
